Reporting a link that failed
The reports we can act on all contain the same things:
- The link you pasted, in full, exactly as you had it. Without it there is nothing to reproduce.
- The message you saw, word for word. Each one points at a different cause, so "it didn't work" narrows nothing down.
- Whether the post is public. Open it in a private or logged-out browser window. If it doesn't load there, it isn't public, and that's the answer.
- Your browser and device, for example "Safari on iOS 18" or "Chrome on Windows".
- For a broadcast, the quality and the start and end times you chose, and how far the progress bar got.

What we can't help with
Not to deflect, but so you don't wait on a reply that can't fix anything:
- Anything about your X account. We aren't X and have no access to accounts, posts or moderation decisions.
- Media from private or protected posts. Not a bug. It is a boundary we keep on purpose.
- Recovering a deleted post. Once it's gone from X there is nothing to fetch, and nothing is cached here that could stand in for it.
- A broadcast that is still live. It can be saved once it ends and X offers the replay.
- Removing a copy hosted somewhere else. Nothing is stored here. The site hosting the copy is the place to file.
What to expect back
Every message is read, and replies are in English. Failed-link reports that include the link and the message get looked at first, because those are the ones that can be fixed. Complete copyright notices and privacy requests are answered directly; privacy requests within 30 days. You can also find us on X (@xdownloader).
