What is XDownloader?

XDownloader is a free online X downloader that saves videos, GIFs, and images from public X (formerly Twitter) posts directly to your device. X has never shipped a download button, so the only way to keep a clip you want to rewatch, archive, or edit is to extract the underlying media file. How to download Twitter video with XDownloader

The practical difference between platforms is only where the file ends up. Is this tweet downloader free and safe?

Yes, and it stays free. There is no premium tier, no daily download cap, and no watermark you have to pay to remove. There are no pop-ups, no redirect chains, and no fake download buttons — the pattern that makes most tweet downloader sites unpleasant to use.

What XDownloader cannot do

Being straightforward about the limits is more useful than overpromising. This tool only reaches content that is already public. It cannot access protected or private accounts, it cannot read direct messages, and it will not retrieve age-restricted or deleted posts. X Spaces are live audio broadcasts rather than video files, so they are not downloadable either. If a link fails, the most common cause is simply that the account is private or the post has been removed.
