What we collect

XDownloader is built to be privacy-friendly. There are no accounts and no sign-up, so we don't collect names, emails, or profiles just to use the tool.

Theme preference. Your light/dark choice is stored locally in your browser and never leaves your device.
Links you paste. A post URL is sent to our server only to resolve the video. It is used for that request and is not stored.
Basic, aggregate analytics. We may record anonymous, aggregate usage (such as page views) with no personally identifying information.

What we don't do

We don't store the videos you download, keep a history of the links you submit, or sell or share your personal data with advertisers. We don't attempt to identify individual users.

Cookies

XDownloader does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing kept on your device is your theme preference, stored in local storage.

Third-party services

Downloading works by fetching the public video that a post link points to. Content you access is governed by X's own terms and privacy policy. External links on this site are subject to those sites' policies.

Data retention

Because we don't create accounts or store your links and downloads, there is no personal data for us to retain. Any aggregate analytics are kept only in summarized form.

Children's privacy

XDownloader is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Updated" date at the top of this page.
